How it began

Our Story

It started on a sunset boat cruise off Nusa Penida — Ellie had a novel, Eddy had sunscreen, and neither expected to spend the whole crossing talking. A week later they were hiking Batur together. A year after that, Eddy proposed on the same boat, same route, same sunset. The crew had been warned.

Fly into DPS — Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar. From there, it's 1.5–2 hrs by car to Ubud depending on traffic.

Visa on Arrival — Most nationalities get a 30-day Visa on Arrival at DPS (IDR 500,000 / ~USD 30). Check ahead at imigrasi.go.id.

Getting Around — We recommend booking a private driver for the wedding weekend — safer and more flexible than rideshare. Our coordinator can refer trusted drivers.

FAQ

Garden romantic — flowing dresses, linen suits, or Balinese batik are all welcome. Avoid white. Heels will sink into the grass so wedges or flats are strongly recommended. A sarong will be provided for the ceremony grounds.

Children are warmly welcome! Please note them on your RSVP so we can arrange seating and meals. The ceremony is outdoors, so bring a carrier or a favourite toy for little ones.

Plus-ones have been noted on individual invitations. If your invitation includes a guest, please add their details in the RSVP form. If you have a special situation, reach out to us directly.

Yes! We're running a complimentary shuttle from all recommended hotels to the ceremony and reception. The shuttle schedule will be shared closer to the date. Grab-Bali and rideshare are also widely available.

The ceremony incorporates Balinese ritual blessings alongside a civil ceremony. Guests will be guided on respectful etiquette. Sarongs are provided at the entrance and are required in the temple garden.

We're having an unplugged ceremony — please keep phones away so everyone can be present. Our photographer will capture everything beautifully. After the ceremony, snap and share freely! We'll send a gallery link after the honeymoon.
